Before I begin, I just want to say thank you for all the messages of support and encouragement that I received from so many people. And say welcome to all the new people who have subscribed to my ramblings. My wife is always shocked at how many people, and from such diverse walks of life, want to listen to someone like me.
I’d also like to add one thing I forgot to add to my previous article. It’s been a while since I’ve written so I forgot to add an important practical application for the consciousness expansion technique I shared.
The thought was: “Where is the need for authority if you can think at a higher level of intellect, and consciousness than the academics and authorities?”
The application of it is in everyday life.
When something feels dumb to you, or maybe just not quite right, or maybe even anytime you notice an authority in basically any area of life… Consider, what is the need for them to be there… Consider, are they functioning at a lower level of consciousness than you feel they should be, given their position.
Basically, notice authority, and consider it.

Back to the main point… Learning to begin trusting your intuition again.
We are all at varying levels of trust in our intuition, and some of us are excellent at trusting it in one area of life and yet totally refuse to trust it in others. None of us are the same, but most of us have some level of trust in one or more area of life. Some trust their intuition so much they confuse it with ego and then make poor choices because of that. So then they don’t trust their intuition anymore until they do again.
The secret is to decide to move from sometimes trusting it to always trusting it, but always be diligent to the truth that the ego can really screw you up by swaying you if you are not properly paying attention. So just like with everyday thoughts, always keep 5% of your attention, looking inwards. Some may call this doubt, i.e. doubting your intuition. I would say doubt leads to doubt, and doubt is cancer to successful living. I’ll call it awareness of potential system failure :-)
In other words, this is not ‘learn something and you are done’, it is a process of continuous improvement right up until death… And then after that, you really get to look into things!
It’s all well and good when someone like me says you’ve got to trust your intuition. Knowing the answer to big deals in life doesn’t actually help much in a lot of situations. The answer is learning how to trust your intuition again and practising trusting it (which as I said, is ever ongoing). Then acting on what your intuition has given you.
Think of your intuition like your own private wizard. It has the answers to everything, except it likes to whisper the answer to you rather than inflict its view on you. It is tied into the universal understanding of all things, including this game we are all playing. It knows the right way to go, but it wants you to demonstrate that you are paying attention. This is because it also knows you are here for novelty, you are here to expand your consciousness and see what you learn when connected experiences meet the current situation.
So you have the answers in you, but you have to be aware of the truth to them being there. You have to pay attention to the way your intuition chooses to speak to you, and you have to trust it enough to go with it and not spend years going the wrong way towards a dead end. Sure you’ll learn things along the way, but probably better to go on the journey you wanted to go on in this life rather than just repeating a journey you may have done before in a previous life.
There is also the not allowing your ego to beat you up if you think you followed your intuition and you ended up in a worse or just bad situation. My questions to anyone who said they trusted their intuition and it shafted them are two-directional.
Are you sure you trusted your intuition and that it wasn’t really your ego influencing it?
Just because you ended up in a bad situation, how do you know that wasn’t where you were supposed to be?
The answer for two is simple to understand, but may take a while of contemplation to fully absorb it into your thinking, and make it, ‘the way you are.’ The benefits of doing this are simply put unequalled. Why? Because if you learn to live in knowing for certain that you are EXACTLY where you are supposed to be, then it frees you from your ego's ability to throw a lack of fairness at you. This lack of fairness gets a lot of people into trouble quickly, but I’ll cover that another time.
When you get to being almost completely comfortable in any situation you find yourself in, you are in effect calm and in the moment. You will find you can look around without needing to feel hard done by. You’ll begin to look at why you are where you are instead. You will discover all the benefits of being in the moment and able to learn things life has been trying to teach you.
If you find you keep getting the same results, you keep failing in a particular area, then it is simply that you are failing to learn the lesson you have been brought there to learn. Even though you don’t have what you intended.
This feeling of knowing you have failed to learn the lesson can be rewarding. Thanks to being in the moment, you can be comfortable not knowing. This doesn’t necessarily mean the answer will just come, it often does, but is not guaranteed. It just means one of many things, one being that you may not be ready yet for the answer. When you find yourself in this place, something to consider is, am I okay with not being where I intended to be?
This does not mean giving up, it just means you are in a state of allowing, while you prepare to move back into action once again and attempt a different approach. If you can feel what your intuition is telling you, you may find it cuts your journey short. Maybe some positive waiting is required and simply by choosing to be confident the answer will come in its own sweet time.
This is going with the flow. You are no longer blocking your intuition in this situation, instead you are simply allowing life to be, and appreciating it wherever you are, and in whatever situation you are in. You have accepted and surrendered to what is, and are now merely looking for answers whilst in a state of appreciation that the answer may or may not be right for you yet.
You will feel like you are in tune with your intuition at this point. If you don’t feel this, then there is probably an ego issue going on, or a wanting / needing / hoping issue. So review what I covered in Creating A Bug Free Mind to swat those nasty little bugs.
That’s a fair few words to explain this state of allowing, but if you slow everything down for a moment and take a deep breath… Can you feel the calmness in it? In your most difficult time, you can train yourself to be calm and allow your intuition to guide you.
Going back to number one. Any long-time readers of my work know I talk about silencing the mind and removing the ego (the voice inside your head which talks bollox all the time), before attempting to make any decisions. Was it your intuition that guided you or was it your ego?… Or was it a bastardised mix of both? Before making decisions it might be an idea to see if you can find out.
Developing your intuition can take time. Mostly your intuition can be very subtle. Occasionally it is very loud. But you have to get to know yours. It is your very best friend and it is there to help you.
In early 2020 I knew my intuition would guide me well, so I decided to set up the Rational Thinking Webcast to prove it. I wanted a hard and fast record of what I predicted and said was happening when I said it. I didn’t want to be one of those people who said they are good at predicting stuff, and calling things, I wanted evidence.
For that I needed to be accountable, and with accountability comes focus, and with that comes improvement. I wanted to get better with my intuition, and I knew this would help. And. frankly, I was fed up of my wife saying, ‘yeah, yeah’, after everything I predicted happened. So I decided to inflict my forecasting ability on the long-suffering members of the webcast and a tiny few of you decided to let me, and I will always be grateful for that.
In that time, my direction has rarely if ever been wrong, (again not bragging just stating). My timing is often wrong as temporal stuff is tricky because the future is not fixed but very dynamic. That said, occasionally I do get timing predictions spot on. Howver, my forecasting for actual events is usually highly accurate. Predicted outcomes of news stories, Covid, Ukraine, masks, vaxx’s, boosters, financial implications on the economy and individuals and countless other headline stories have ALL been, in a word, impeccable.
So how do you get to become a super forecaster like me? Simple, learn to trust your intuition as I do… We all have it, therefore we can all get better at using it.
Let's take a world event. Yes, we can now say if the media is all pointing one way, then the chances are it’s all a lie. But I’m not talking about logical reasoning to someone who has been paying attention. I’m talking about your intuition.
Next time a new story emerges, don’t rush to one side or the other. Feel what your intuition is telling you. Does the narrative feel right or wrong, or does it feel confused. Forget what you are being told to think. Consider, what you should do if it feels right, wrong or confused IF you don’t need to make a decision.
Nothing of course, you shouldn’t make one. You sit back and wait for more data. You keep doing this until your intuition guides you. Try it and you should begin hearing what your intuition says. Then remember what it said. Wait until the answers become self-evident (this can be a long time (days / weeks / months usually), and see how you did. If you got it right, your confidence in it automatically grows.
If you got it wrong, take some time and consider how you got it wrong then consider… Did you really listen?... Did you want it to go one way or another?... Were you going with the flow?... Were you accepting what was?... Did you surrender to allowing it to be as it was?… All things to consider when you get one wrong.
Now… IF you commit to doing this, then you will be surprised how fast you gain trust in yourself. Which means you’ll be better at it next time.
Educated people and in particular highly qualified academics can have problems in doing this, as it is not black and white. They have been programmed to NEED things to be black and white. When the entire world is always in the grey. So learning to be comfortable with not knowing and not getting instant gratification through classification will require patience… Your intuition works at its own speed, not the speed you want it to work at.
Academics, or the heavily programmed person, have also been trained /programmed to make decisions when they shouldn’t, and once they make a decision then it becomes part of their identity and they look for things to support their decision whilst ignoring or pooh-poohing the other side.
People have praised me for my decision-making ability. What I say now is, I avoid making decisions whenever possible. I wait for everything to feel right then just get on with whatever the right feeling is, so I didn’t make a decision.
When I have to make one, but there isn’t sufficient data in yet for the answer to be self-evident. I look at all the factors and let my intuition call it. I can actually feel my intuition having a go at me for forcing it to tell me which way to go. But it hasn’t lied to me yet with its responses..
Because our education in thinking, is so totally shit almost the whole world over, we are left with people in authority who are pretty much useless at making great decisions.
We exist in a time that when a situation comes up, which is usually the result of a previous bad decision, or countless previous bad decisions, the people in charge almost continuously go the wrong way.
Think about it, they are batting close to a 99.9% failure rate. If they tossed a coin they would get it right 50% of the time. So clearly to anyone with a trustworthy intuition, this destructive course of action is a planned demolition. Once you get your head around that then the madness begins to make sense, and you feel the programmed need for authorities evaporate.
So how good can you get this?… I don’t know what my accuracy is and my correct choice of actions are, as I’m not keeping score. But the Rational Thinking Webcast participants will tell you it’s in the high 95%+ percentile, and maybe even a lot higher than that.
Developing your intuition for making the right choices and understanding the world’s situations means you are forewarned and can take appropriate action. I have spent a fair bit of my life living a few years out in the future, and so find myself struggling to contemplate why people don’t take actions that I think are obvious.
My wife has a go at me because I am usually so early into something, that it’s too early. It takes years sometimes for other people to catch up. Sometimes being too early to change can be wrong too!
So this is a skill that needs refinement. We are dealing with the Woo and the instructions are nowhere to be found. So we have to play with it and see what happens. There’s no solid ‘if you do exactly this you will get exactly that’ in this world… You have got to play with it and look at it like it is a game of ‘How much better can you get?’
As you go about your day, see if you can feel your intuition talking to you. I think you’ll be surprised at what you learn.
If you are already pretty advanced at trusting your intuition, why not see what happens when you trust it a bit more. In the words of Olivia Newton John… ‘Feel your way.’

This is just a taste of learning to begin trusting your intuition again, there is a heck of a lot more I could go into, so I will do some of that another time as I think I’ve waffled on far too long now anyway.
Best wishes,
Andy
I am so happy to find your comments here. Having read the Bug Free Mind books the seeds were planted years ago to lead me to where I am now. I avoided most of the problems of covid by following my intuition emerging unscathed. Recently my wife encouraged me to have a regular medical check. I did, the tests returned some blood condition irregularities. Further testing revealed an incurable and rare alteration of my DNA. I researched the problem and treatment to arrive at a reasonable solution. This opened my mind to consider a second condition that had not been addressed for over 50 years. It too is now under control. Not why me but how does this help me now sparked more openness to my intuition. My life has improved beyond striving to be more to being more conscious. Mark
Andy, how can you spit out pure Gold and call it "waffling," brother?! 😄
It's always so refreshing to hear and absorb your sound, rational thinking in a world of unsound, irrational chaos.
The global scale of willful ignorance to NOT recognize this world-wide "planned demolition" absolutely blows my mind. How much more proof does the world need?! How much more PAIN until the heards are willing to look behind the curtain?
Especially when we have brave souls like Toto and Andy Shaw who have already pulled the curtain back and are bravely nipping at the heels of our unconscious authorities and "leaders."
Andy, there has to be so much you would like to share and discuss on cosmic levels that you simply can't because it would shatter most ego's and world views...if you ever decide to create a private, unfiltered platform to unashamedly let loose regardless of topic or bizarre nature, count me in brother!!
Please keep letting your light shine through these posts, and let us know how we can contribute and give back!
God Bless
