An inability to sit by and let them get away with it

Hi,

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had too much to do to find time to sit and write. I was intending to share some clips from recent webcasts, but I haven’t had the time to extract them. So I intend to do that soon, maybe even tomorrow (attempting to put myself under some social pressure to get on it ;-)).

But sometimes, things happen and I feel compelled to say something. So below is a letter I sent to my MP this morning, Andrew Griffith Minister of State for the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.

It is not a letter about mindset, there is nothing to learn other than the first line of the letter. I had no intention of sharing it with you all, but a good friend insisted I do, I think her exact words were, “It's not too abusive this time, but sets out the issues really well.”

So if the complete failure of politics interests you, you may find a nugget or two, or perhaps just some amusement.

Open Letter To Andrew Griffith MP

Subject: The level of corruption in your government reaches new levels

Hello Andrew, 

Once again, I am forced to write to you, because to say nothing is to say I accept things the way they are. Quite simply, I do not.

So last week that idiot Cameron gave £1.5 billion of taxpayers' money to the charlatan Zelenskyy. I think it is fair to say almost no one in the country wanted this, fewer would've voted for it, and we still have potholes dotted on every road in the country. But at least it wasn't all to waste, at least Zelenskyy got to spend over £20 million of it on King Charles's old house. So we funded his home purchase with money we can't afford. 

Seriously, are you all just corrupt and milking the system knowing it is going to collapse, or are you just thick? Honest question.

Next, we must discuss what Israel just did in Damascus to the Iranian Embassy. Yet your government still supports Israel. Then Israel's killing of the aid workers proved that the West cares more about seven people from the West than it does about 40,000 dead Palestinians, still you and your government support Israel. Then we have Israel killing everybody in a hospital, men, women and children. Doctors, nurses. People with their hands tied behind their backs (I think you'll find that is a war crime). Bodies were driven over by tanks, and a baby's corpse was dragged off for food by a dog. 

Yet still, YOU and YOUR government support Israel. Are you demented, have you lost all shred of consciousness? Did becoming a politician mean you are no longer able to notice genocide? Stupidity or criminality, you are guilty of one.

Your own government lawyers have advised you that supporting Israel is effectively supporting war crimes. Which makes you personally, as a Minister in the government, legally responsible. You may remember what happened at the Hauge when other people in power were held accountable for their inaction whilst in government.

But wait, there's more... Then there is the attack on Russia and the involvement of our special forces (we all know we did it, the Russians definitely know we did it). Going and killing young people at a concert, is a pure act of terrorism and our involvement in it means we are terrorists too. You and your government are making me and everyone else in the country a terrorist by your inactions just because we are British citizens. What is going on here? What is wrong with you? Why do you hate Russia so much? Do you not see your/our culpability?

What about the contract being given to the same company that screwed up the PostMasters. Just happens to be connected to your leader's Dad's company. More Conservative Party corruption. Let alone stupidity.  As ANYONE in business knows, you change companies when you've previously been screwed by the company... Did you fail to learn this in business or business school? You don't award them a new contract! I'd imagine you were involved in this corrupt fiasco as a business minister, so please explain yourself.

Let's move to the economy, something your idiot leader and you have more involvement with. 

We’ve been in a recession for the last year. What? You just noticed? People like me with a keen eye on economics have been saying this for at least a year. I can't wait to see what happens when people wake up to the fact that inflation is your government's policy. I'm only sad it is unlikely to happen while you are in office.

I won't even bother to discuss your complete failure to prevent people from coming into our country illegally. Pathetic, a problem which could be solved in a day by Margaret Thatcher, and half a day by someone less subtle. So your pathetic inaction continues to pollute our country with all sorts of unknown problems. You and your government are planting random mines into the ground for all of us, setting the timers to random and just walking off. Simply moronic on every level. This will lead to tragic situations in our country. Only a fool cannot see that!

Clearly, you and your government have not just broken the social contract in so many ways. You have torn it up, burnt it, and thrown the ashes into a landfill. You cannot seriously expect the people to accept this? In my opinion, you and your government are setting the stage for a complete breakdown in our country.

You and the Conservative Party are totally bereft of any real ability to govern, and I think you are criminally negligent. The only thing you and your party seem to be capable of is corruption and gross incompetence. Everything you touch is a dumpster fire.

I think you are lost as a party, and totally unfit to govern. The many years I now expect your party to be in the wilderness are going to be well deserved. 

Your job as a minister is supposed to be to serve and protect the public who elected you. On your watch amongst other things, you have stood by and watched while your hapless government has taken us to the brink of Nuclear war with Russia. 

What Cameron did to the Conservative Party is irreparable I suggest you find a way to distance yourself from this government, or do the right thing and hold them to account.

I don't expect a reply from you, as clearly you can't handle the truth. To respond requires testicles, and the search for testicles in the Conservative Party goes on.
